I think this was tastefully done…we all have lost someone in our lives and I think Christmas is a time for celebrating life and loss and love and this movie did that beautifully. The characters were all relatable and just trying to figure out how to live their lives the best way they could. All had flaws but all had heart. I saw this one before but somehow this viewing made me really care about just human beings and all our differences and similarities. To me it was a feel good movie with a bittersweet ending. I really enjoyed it! My type of movie!

  • Awful Movie!

The plot was contrived and the characters were so unbelievable. And how is this supposed to be a holiday "feel good" movie when the Mom dies at the end? It was awful on every level.

One of my favorite movies. So much going on. So heartfelt, on many levels. You must watch this movie!

Wow. My favorite holiday movie. It’s real, amazingly awkward and self-assuring. This is a movie I can watch multiple times. From beginning to end, it’s hard not to find the Stone family lovable and irritating. As the movie unfolds, it’s hard to turn away. Bravo to this all star cast. SJP is raw and you can help but root for her. A+!
  • Disjointed

This wasn’t what I thought it would be. It’s not a flowing script. I personally didn’t think it was that good especially after reading other reviews. 👎

I was surprised to thoroughly enjoy this movie! Perfect holiday movie if you want to laugh and cry. Excellent words of wisdom, too: "You've got a freak flag; you just don't fly it."
