Description

Inspired by the life of comedian Jerrod Carmichael, the show follows Jerrod and his opinionated North Carolina family as they navigate topics that all families face today in America. And nothing is too uncomfortable to explore – police protests, guns, religion. Jerrod often finds himself debating such issues with his old school father Joe, his devoutly religious mother Cynthia, his progressive live-in girlfriend Maxine, his recently separated brother Bobby,and Bobby’s estranged and outspoken wife Nekeisha. And somewhere in the middle of all of their disagreeing is the heart of this family.

This is a really good show. I like that they hit both sides of the issues. All the actors & actresses do a great job. My Mother just love Loretta Devine.

I primarily work over seas in remote locations and stumbled upon the free iTunes episode of Season 2. The writing is good and not trying to be over the top but more like real people. The show let’s the actors do what they do best and that’s act. This is what I find so FUNNY about this show!!! I had never heard of it until last week. I am an instant fan!!! Then I realized after episode 3 season 2 that there was another season. I am SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW!!! The actors are great. I LOVE THIS SHOW IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT OF THE YEAR FOR ME!!! I don’t know why more people are not talking about The Carmichael show?????!!!!!
